well, ATI would be a good place to start...lol
9600 WHAT?

you will have to come up with more than that... SE, LE, ALLin ONE, so on...
got to ATi web site.. look for the link in the driver down load area.. that says you don't know how ti identify the card...
gives you options... put in the S/N of the card and it will tell you..

if you know that already.. use this link to find the driver.. < ATI 9600 search >

if you click drivers tab it will take you to the DL section.. you pick OS..

if for some reason you can't find a driver...
go to HERE..

my user name is: drivers   pass: all

you can find anything here....

Ati makes some great products... as soon as you drop it in and power it up windows will tell you what you have..

uninstall and get rid of the nivida.. you won't need the controls just eating up HHD space.

windows will not use these drivers any more.

going by what your saying.. here is what i would do.. uninstall.. reboot, write down everything windows says about new hardware.. you can get this info later but just as easy to do at this point... windows will want to search for drivers.. let it or cancel... don't matter cause you won't find any on that computer.

ckick ok,ok,ok,ok  da da......once windows loads it will use standard driver.. looks like shit 16 bit 256 colours... connect to ati and download what you need... save it to disk. then install... you will have no probs... ATI is top notch product..

??????  man I just recovered from being down.

my decided to go fully 64bit, and it was rough! ran into issues that left me down for almost a week at home.

Anyway.  ATI releases unified drivers.  So you download 1, it contains drivers for all ATI cards.  When you run the setup.exe it will figure it out for you.  SIMPLE.

It's the same with nvidia... 1 nforce drivers for all nvidia gfx cards.

:)
