compusa had 2 X850XT (PCIe) left at the store for $550, but I didnt buy it. too expensive, and I dont have a PCIe mobo yet. It would mean building a whole new computer. Life sux! heheheehe j/k
well all i got to say is my computer sucks but i am geting a gameing pc this summer :-D so i will be playing much better :-d hehe
Its gonna take you a lil time to get used to a newer puter bro, upgrading from what you have now to what I understand youre getting is a big jump.
I am still rockin my AMD Athlon Barton 2500+ cpu ( oc'd to 2.5 G'z ) ASUS A78NX 2.0 mobo with two sticks 512 Kingston pc3200 Soon to get the GeForce 6600 GT ( gimme 2 weeks ) Expect a new system next tax season... 64's got my attention! And so does pci-e. Looking to drop over 2 G'z on an ultimate system, may need some guidence!
I see it like this... Intel & Radeon I stay away from, dont hate'em, just stay away from things I cannot tweak or mod. Had an intel 1nce... Thing fried on me in a month! And most people I know with Radeon's/ ATI's same thing. AMD & Nvidia for me says I.

WTF???? 2.5ghz from a barton 2500+ What kinda heatsink you got??
I was only able to OC my 3000+ barton to 2.2ghz (equiv to 3200+)
the athlon 64 4000+ is only 2.4ghz itself!
:-O
i think I gotta trade up my heatsink or something! lol
not really the diff is in the mobo.... and what your useing to do the clocking.
my XP 2600 no OC runs @ 2.088 Ghz, so yes a XP 2500 could reach 2.5Ghz
the best and easy way to test the clock speed is ED 2.0 open a map, hit the play level icon... and read the info as it goes. or you can spend an hour going through the ini files. it's in there to somewere. it's not a perfect benchmark. but Dam close.
what was the Multiplier set for? How much was the voltage stepped and the FSB running at?
